7. The Murder at the Vicarage (1968) by Agatha Christie
Colonel Protheroe is found dead in the vicarage and there are seven main suspects with the proper motives. This cozy mystery novel is the first of the Miss Marple series, featuring amateur detective Miss Marple, who previously appeared in Christie’s short stories.

6. A.B.C. Murders (1936) by Agatha Christie
ABC — could either be just the beginning of the alphabet or the preface to a murderer’s killing spree. In this case, it’s the second one.
In this novel by Agatha Christie, renowned private Belgian detective Hercule Poirot receives an anonymous letter by someone who signed themselves as “ABC”. These three letters turn out to be clues that point to the future victims of the murders.
