As the earth rumbles our buildings and homes could only sway in its mercy. They are caused by extensive cracks along the Earth’s surface called “faults” or “fault lines”, displaced by the constantly moving hot layer underneath called the “Mantle”. The result is a massive movement or upheaval of the Earth’s surface and unprecedented human casualties. These are earthquakes, and they happen all around the world, in some places more so than the others.
The Philippines is one of such places.
