Big Bad Wolf (BBW) howled early access last September 14, 2023, Thursday, at Lower Ground Level, Cube Wing, Seaside SM City Cebu. University of San Carlos’s (USC) Pulong sa mga Alagad sa Obra (PALABRA) of Bachelors of Arts in Literary and Cultural Students with Creative Writing of the Department of Communications, Linguistics, and Literature (DCLL) hunted the wolf at his very own lair! Awo~

Books stumble upon a jar of gold in the heart of the wilderness, a sight that makes passionate readers celebrate in victory and the tables were stacked high with books, each in their own little nook. There were science fiction books, young adult stories, graphic novels and comics, crime thrillers, self-help titles, and a whole lot more!

The minions discovered a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and a VIP Lounge, as well as 0% Metrobank installment for a minimum purchase of Php 3000. They were encouraged to upload their experience in their social media account with hashtags #BBWCEBU2023, #BBWPH2023, and #BigBadWolfPH2023. Also, participants have a chance to win a Trolleyful of Books by the end of September.

But wait! Here’s the catch! They say, “We should not judge a book by its cover,” but this wolf lures the hunters into a whole new adventure! With books wrapped up with thin clear plastic as tight as the collided jungle trees, hunters bag their prey with just a glance at the book jackets. As the hunters unraveled the mystery, it revealed a whole new mountain of realizations and rivers of expectations.

The truth behind the book covers is similar to a wolf in sheep’s clothing, either defying or aligning perfectly with the content inside. But, without having a clue about the hidden gems that lie within, these hunters walked through these unfamiliar traps before swimming to the value of the wisdom they are supposed to wrap their minds around. No matter what kind of treasure they crash upon in that treasure chest, they better brace themselves for what lies within.
